The Colonel
 The Colonel represents all that we dislike about golf. Yes we love the tradition but just not certain peoples interpretation of what that represents. Remember being a junior and not being able to go out on the course until 2pm on a weekend! What was that about. We also see the Colonel as our yardstick. If the Colonel would like it we don't. Naturally he and the Caddy don't see eye to eye. We have all met the Colonels of this world and probably been on the end of the acid tongue, however the time of the Colonel is over. No longer do they have their own chair in the bar, no longer do you need to have a title or the right tie to play and enjoy this wonderful, character building game...plus fours can be assigned to the cupboard...bring them out when you really want to put his nose out of joint....hoorah !!!!! |
